Amspoker, Kravlin fall in Frontier League semifinals

Bishop Diego’s Meredith Amspoker and Emilee Kravlin reached the semifinals at the Frontier League Individual Girls Tennis Tournament at Miranda Park in Port Hueneme.

The Cardinals were beaten by Carpinteria players. Meredith Amspoker lost to Casandra Ni, 6-1, 6-0, while Kravlin fell to Kelsie Bryant, 6-0, 6-0.

Bryant defeated Ni for the title.

In other Bishop results, the doubles team of Yazmine Guzman-Yui Cui, lost to Megan Ruckstuhn-Mindy De la Cruz of Santa Clara, 8-1, in the first round;  Emily Duncan and Cami Thompson were beaten by a Carpinteria team, 6-0, 6-0, in the second round.
