Heidi Van Den Oever had 24 kills Friday night as SBCC rallied for a 3-2 women’s volleyball victory over Palomar in the first round of the L.A. Pierce Invitational at Woodland Hills.
The scores were 18-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-23, 15-11.
It was the second straight win for the Vaqueros (2-5), who will play Pierce or Saddleback in Saturday’s semifinals at 2 p.m. The third-placer match is set for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the championship at 7 p.m.
