Duran Stanley scored on a header in the 72nd minute Friday night, lifting SBCC to a 2-1 men’s soccer victory over L.A. Harbor in Wilmington.
It was the first college appearance for Stanley, a freshman from Santa Barbara High.
Andres Gomez set up Stanley’s game-winner with a nice pass from the left side.
Jordan Tabor opened the scoring for the Vaqueros (3-0-2) with a penalty kick in the 31st minute after Rodrigo Perez was pulled down in the box. Harbor tied it in the 42nd minute.
SBCC travels to Rio Hondo on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. game.
