SBCC scored three goals in a 17-minute span of the second half on Friday night and went on to defeat L.A. Harbor 3-0 in a women’s soccer match in Wilmington.
The Vaqueros (4-0), ranked No. 2 in the state and 15th in the nation, have outscored their opponents 15-2.
Katie Earle made it 1-0 in the 64th minute and then assisted on a goal by Nicole Payne in the 75th minute. Ali Raack tallied the third goal in the 81st minute on an assist from Payne.
It was the first match in two weeks for Santa Barbara but the Vaqueros didn’t show any rust.
“We could have scored a lot more but we hit the bar six times,” said coach John Sisterson. “It was scoreless at halftime but we kept things positive.”
The Vaqueros will be home on Friday against L.A. Pierce at 7 p.m.
