Kelsey Soos, a star setter for SBCC in 2009-10, has been named Cascade Conference Setter of the Week in her women’s volleyball debut for the College of Idaho.
The former Santa Ynez High standout averaged nearly 10 assists per set for the Lady Yokes, including 58 assists in a win over No. 5-ranked Biola.
The College of Idaho went 3-1 in the Holiday Inn Summer Slam, including five-set wins over Biola and Vanguard of the Golden State Athletic Conference.
Soos was the MVP of the WSC North last year when she helped SBCC to a 21-6 record and its second straight conference title. The Vaqueros reached the third round of the state playoffs.
