Labor Day weekend is the final weekend of the regular season for Santa Barbara’s Fantasy Baseball League. As it stands, five teams have already clinched a playoff berth with a single spot still up for grabs. The ultimate champion of the SB Fantasy League will be awarded a $500 donation from Presidio Sports to their respective athletic program or charity.
As playoffs approach, Santa Barbara Pony and Charger Express (Dos Pueblos High School) were the first two teams to clinch playoff berths in the first-ever Santa Barbara Fantasy Baseball League. Fantasy Foresters, Dons Baseball, and Presidio Punisher were next to qualify for the postseason, which begins on Monday.
Bishop Diego, The WARDiors (Carpinteria High), GVSLL, and DPLL are still in contention for the final three playoff spots, with the WARDiors almost assured a berth thanks to a small lead over the other three.
If the playoffs were to start today, SB Pony League would be the undisputable No. 1 seed and face the DPLL in the first round. Charger Express would meet Bishop Diego while the WARDiors and Fantasy Foresters take each on. Dons Baseball and Presidio Punisher would also clash for the right to move on.

The Santa Barbara Fantasy Baseball League was established to help raise money for local sports organizations and charities. This year’s baseball fundraiser – which will deliver $500 to the winning organization – has participation from a majority of the local baseball programs and charities.
