The San Marcos High girls volleyball team lost to Ventura in four sets and is now 0-2 in Channel League play.
The scores for the sets were 15 – 25, 16 – 25, 25 – 23, and 10 – 25.
Kristen Berlo led the Royals with 14 kills and Kat Crook had 12 digs. Andie O’Donnell had a solid passing performance with 28 assists.
Both Berlo and Crook had an excellent third set, which helped the Royals avoid a sweep. Six of Berlo’s 14 kills as well as seven of Crook’s 12 digs came in the set.
San Marcos continues league play at home against Santa Barbara on Tuesday.
