The Providence Hall girls volleyball team was in every game, but were unable to make the necessary surge to avoid a sweep at the Dunn School.
The scores for the sets were 23-25, 22-25, 20-25.
Faith Emerson had six kills and 10 digs, while Olivia Barroca had four kills and four aces. Lacy Gonzalez helped her teammates with seven assists, and was nearly flawless in service with just one error.
Providence Hall faced a big deficit in the final game, but was able to close the gap and make their opponents work to close out the match.
“I’m really proud of the way they fought back in that third game,” head coach Laura Trudelle said.
Providence Hall (4-4) continues their season at Orchid Academy on Saturday.
