Vanesa Villa of Dos Pueblos tied with Oxnard standout Drew Thomas, but the Yellowjackets had two players score lower in their 219-231 non-league win over the Chargers at Glen Annie Golf Course.
Katie Rice fired a match-low 38 and Falicia Anderson shot a 39 to lead Oxnard. Villa and Thomas each shot 42.
“Oxnard is a good team with several players capable of going low,” DP coach Dan Choi said. “DP has five freshmen on our team this year and every match they continue to improve.”
