Ten freshman played in a match for the Santa Barbara High girls tennis team in its league opener at home against Buena. The Dons won the match 17-1.
“It’s not that we were subbing, it’s that they’re good players,” head coach Steve Geremia said.
Santa Barbara continues its season with another Channel League match on Tuesday against San Marcos.
