Santa Barbara High’s girls volleyball team defeated Newbury Park to win its second game in as many nights behind a team-wide 94-percent efficiency rate on serves.
The Dons defeated the Panthers 25-17, 25-14, and 25-15 to take the match in straight sets. They were led by Haley Fuller and Remi Pulice who had nine and eight kills respectively. Sophomore Tessa Dewell was also impressive with five kills in a great all-around performance.
“We played very strong,” Santa Barbara head coach John Gannon said. “We had our first match last night and this gave us an opportunity to work some other players into the lineup.”
The Dons will look to continue their stellar start to the season on Tuesday against Harvard-Westlake.
