Dos Pueblos opened Channel League play with a convincing 14-4 win over San Marcos at the Charger courts on Tuesday.
Three-time league champion Lauren Stratman led the way for the Chargers in singles, winning her two sets, 6-0 6-0.
“Lauren was effeciently effective against her opponents,” said DP coach Anne Altamirano.
Kate Stratman went 3-0, winning her sets 6-4, 6-0, 6-0.
“Kate showed tremendous patience against her opponents,” said Altamirano.
In doubles, the Chargers’ No. 1 team of Ali Frankel-Mikaela Amble and the No. 2 duo of Sophia Rasmussen-Christina Daniel both went 3-0.
“Frankel and Amble were tenacious and Daniel and Rasmussen were unstoppable at the net,” said Altamirano.
