Dos Pueblos’ girls volleyball team worked over Valencia on Thursday night, felling visiting Valencia 25-16, 25-15, 25-22 in a non-league matchup.
“Tonight was a total team effort,” said Chargers head coach Todd Garrett. “We served lights out totaling 11 aces with only 7 errors.”
Emma Craine, Sierra Hofstatter, Hannah Harris, Colleen O’Connor and Katie Spieler drew praise from there head coach for their serving, passing, and defense. Amanda Moriarty led the team in kills with 12, followed by Taylor Racich with nine. Maddie Leiphardt posted a game-high 16 assists while Tristan Racich added 11.
The Chargers are still unbeaten to start the season but take a week off before traveling to the Archbishop Mitty Tournament next weekend.
