Jeff Blake scored seven goals, leading Lucchese to a 14-10 win over Grants Farm and a first-place finish in its bracket in the Lucchese America Cup polo tournament at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club on Sunday.
In the second game, ERG roared to a 16-4 halftime lead and went on to defeated Piaget 18-11 to earn a spot in Friday’s semifinals.
The semifinal pairings are Lucchese vs. Audi at 2 p.m. and Grants Farm against ERG at 4 p.m.
Off the field on Sunday, John Muse, the patron of the Lucchese team, presented the key of a new house to a military veteran who had been through more than 30 surgeries to remove shrapnel from his body. The home was donated by the Military Warriors Support Foundation. Muse is a big supporter of the foundation.
