Kyle Ownsby hit two home runs and the Goleta Valley South Under-12 All-Stars scored in the first four innings in a 13-4 rout of Saticoy in a pool play game of the District 63 Little League Tournament in Santa Paula on Saturday.
The game was called after four innings on the 10-run mercy rule.
Goleta Valley South scored three runs in the first inning on one hit by DJ Sharp following two walks.
In a seven-run second, Carson Vom Steeg, Trey Klopstein and Kyle Gonzalez hit run-scoring singles, Blake Katsev singled in two runs and Ownsby belted his first homer.
Goleta Valley South added four runs in the third on RBI singles by Gonzalez and Klopstein and Ownsby’s second round-tripper
The final two runs in the fourth came on a single by Josh Feldhaus and a double by Sam Roberts.
Vom Steeg, Ownsby and Sharpe combined for the win on the mound.
Goleta Valley South plays Ventura Foothill on Wednesday at Santa Paula.
