Goleta Valley South continued its offensive onslaught in the District 63 11-Under All-Star Tournament on Sunday, pounding previously undefeated Santa Paula 14-1.
The win came a day after Goleta Valley South scored 31 runs.
Goleta Valley South scored six runs in the first inning as Drew Darke, Trey Tank, Colter Nisbet, Jake Sofro, Bryce Quezada and Alex Furukawa rapped consecutive base hits.
Goleta Valley South finished with 16 his in the four-inning, mercy-rule win. Nisbet and Darke each rapped out three hits, and Quezada, Sofro, Furukawa had two hits apiece.
Tank pitched three innings and Nisbet closed out the game.
GVSLL’s next game will be against Dos Pueblos LL on Friday, July 8 at 5:30pm at the Goleta Valley South fields at Page Youth Center.
