Dos Pueblos went down to the wire to earn a spot in the championship game of the District 63 9-Under Little League All-Star Tournament on Saturday.
A lead-off triple by Trevor Craig followed by singles from Dylan Ledbetter, Dylan Borgeson and J.J. Frausto snapped a 3-3 tie in the sixth inning, propelling the Dos Pueblos to a 6-4 win over Santa Paula at Foothill Little League in Ventura.
Anthony Gutierrez pitched four innings for DP, giving up three runs on four hits. Ty Montgomery threw the final two innings allowing one run on two hits.
Dos Pueblos made some big plays in the field, including a diving catch in the fourth inning by left fielder Parker Ledbetter, who got to his feet and threw out a runner tagging up at third. Dylan Borgeson played solid game behind the plate.
The win sets the stage for a rematch tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at Foothill against cross-town rival Goleta Valley South. GVSLL beat DP 10-1 during pool play.
