State CIF champion Nick Scarvelis captured the shot put title at the 52nd annual Golden West Invitational Track and Field Meet on Saturday in Folsom.
Scarvelis, the top-seed out of 14 throwers from California, Washington, Montana and Alaska, won with a throw of 64-1.75.
The UCLA-bound Scarvelis last week became the first Dos Pueblos athlete to win a state track and field title with mark of 64-0.
