Jack Johnson, Luke Roberts and Chris Abbott combined on a no-hitter, leading the Goleta Valley South Little League to a 17-1 win over Santa Paula in a District 63 10-under All-Star Tournament opener on Saturday.
Johnson also contributed at the plate, going 3-for-3 and just missing a grand slam in the second inning — his drive bounced off the right-center field fence.
Ian Cope and Ryan Rennick each had two hits, and Goleta Valley South took advantage of seven walks.
Goleta Valley South is back in aciton Wednesday against Carpinteria at Fillmore Little League.
