Four Goleta Valley South pitchers combined on two-hitter Wednesday in a 9-1 win over Santa Paula in a pool play game at the District 63 12-Under All-Star Tournament in Santa Paula
Carson Vom Steeg, Trey Klopstein, Kyle Ownsby and Ryan Gaurdino shut down Santa Paula’s offense.
Offensively, Ownsby and DJ Sharpe each hit home runs, and Blake Katsev collected a pair of hits to pace Goleta Valley South, which returns to action on Saturday against Saticoy.
