Hannah Harris and Jordan Roberts, the one-two punch that led the Dos Pueblos softball team to a Channel League title and a CIF championship, were honored as the co-Most Valuable Players of the league.
Roberts, a senior second baseman, provided clutch hitting and solid defense for the Chargers. She batted .284 with five doubles and 20 RBIs.
Harris, a junior pitcher, dominated opposing hitters. She recorded 233 strikeouts and walked only 23 in posting a 22-9 record with 13 shutouts. Her ERA was 1.03. At the plate, she batted .356.
Senior Marisa Radeke and sophomore Agnetta Cleland were first-team selections for Dos Pueblos.
The San Marcos sophomore battery of pitcher Kristen Berlo and catcher Hannah Ball were chosen to the first team.
Talia Quevedo of Santa Barbara also was first-team honoree.
The second-team picks include sophomores Haley Peterson, Ashlynd Williams and Chloe Madill of Dos Pueblos; freshman Stephanie Swann and junior Jocelyn Flattery of San Marcos and senior Sheila Lopez of Santa Barbara.
Honorable mention: seniors Amber Altavilla and Kiersty Briner of Dos Pueblos; Santa Barbara seniors Arianna Leos, Angela Biancone and San Marcos junior Maria Perez.
