Dos Pueblos softball pitcher Hannah Harris has been selected as the ESPN RISE Cal-Hi Sports State Athlete of the Week for her performance in leading the Chargers to the CIF Division 4 title.
Last week, Harris tossed a five-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in a 5-0 title win over Fontana Kaiser. It was the first section title for Dos Pueblos since 2005.
It was Hannah’s fourth shutout in a playoff run that saw her only give up one earned run in 39 playoff innings. Including two shutouts to end Channel League play, she gave up a lone run in her final seven games and 53 innings.
