Austin Bull allowed one hit through four innings and belted a tape-measured two-run homer to lead the Dos Pueblos Little League Reds to an 8-4 win over the Goleta Valley South Little League Diamondbacks in the annual Freeway Series between the Majors division-winning teams.
Bull, who was celebrating his 13th birthday, struck out nine and walked four. He went 2-for-3 at the plate.
The Diamondbacks lone hit off of Bull was by the Griffin Steele, who singled in the top of the fifth inning.
Davis Craig and Jordan Barbieri pitched in relief of Bull.
The Reds were also powered at the plate by leadoff hitter Will Parker, who had three singles in four at bats.
The Freeway Series began in 1985 as part of the friendly competition between the two leagues.
All-star team rosters will be announced later this month for both District 63 Little Leagues.
