With two elite triathletes pushing him, 13-year-old Walker Bell won his seventh Nite Moves 1k swim and posted his fastest time of the season on Wednesday night at Leadbetter Beach.
Bell was timed in 13 minutes, 16 seconds in finishing ahead of Zack Paris, 22, (13:37) and Chris Braden, 20,(13:40). Kyle Visin, 27, another local triathlete, was fourth in 14:16.
The first female finisher was Alexa Skorus-Neely, 12, of the Santa Clarita Swim Club, which entered a handful of swimmers in the event.
Tyler Hansen ran 16:56 to win the 5k run, and 15-year-old Addi Zerrenner was the to female finisher in 19:05.
In the swim-run duathalon, the entrant known as Shakes from Chicago won in 38:40. Carpinteria’s Danielle Lipski was the first female finisher (8th overall) in 43:25.
