Girls fast-pitch softball teams from all over central California will converge on Elings Park this weekend to compete in the ASA Western Nationals qualifying tournament.
Co-hosted by the Goleta Valley Girls Softball Association, the tournament will feature more than 50 teams in age groups 10-under, 12U and 14U. The GVGSA will have two teams competing.
The teams are playing for berths in the ASA Western Nationals, set for Aug 1-7 in Fresno.
Games will begin every two hours from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday; 8 a.m.– 6 p.m. Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
