San Marcos’ Thayer White was the medalist for Day 1 of the Channel League Championship, scoring a 70, 2-under par.
The Championship is being held at Soule Park in Ojai, a par 72.
There is a tie for second with Dos Pueblos’ Carson Curtis and Ventura’s Greg Robarge finishing with a 73.
Dos Pueblos also had a fifth place finish from Brett Patton (74), while Dylan Wright from San Marcos is tied for eighth.
Santa Barbara’s Sean Searls and James Morton are in a three-way tie for 9th with Dos Pueblos’ Lane Fuller.
Micheal Yi (DP) and Alex Constantinides (SB) each finished with 80.
Santa Barbara’s Grant Amerson and Mickey Kirby each shot an 82.
Eighteen of 30 players were cut Tuesday. The final round is Wednesday.
