Even after a loss to Villanova Prep on Thursday 452-456 at Soule Park, Carpinteria’s golf team earned the title of Frontier League champions.
Alex Warner and Mak Vincent were named first team all-league, while Ian Craddock, Joey Biro and Jeffrey Moorhouse were named all-league second team.
Warner also qualified for individual CIF playoffs after a well-played season and tees off Monday at Las Posas County Club in Camarillo.
Craddock led the Warriors on Thursday with an 85, and Warner shot an 86
Villanova’s Jack Tillian was the medalist for the day, scoring an 82. Tillian also was named MVP of the league.
Villanova finished second in the league.
