Benji Sorenson gave his team a big lift, sweeping his three singles sets, sparking the Laguna Blanca tennis team to a 12-6 win over Thacher in the regular-season finale on Wednesday.
“Although we beat this team 11-7 less than two weeks ago, we weren’t about to take anything for granted, and some lineup changes from Thacher made things interesting,” Laguna coach Trevor Thorpe said. “I knew right away that we needed a good performance from Benji Sorensen in singles and all three of our doubles teams against their number three team. We got all six of those crucial matches, so I’m very happy with the way things turned out.”
