Santa Barbara’s Spencer Mikles was the low scorer among the four local prep golfers who advanced to the CIF Individual Finals at the Northern Region qualifying tournament Monday at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo.
Mikles shot a 2-over par 73 to finish in a five-way tie for third place.
The top 30 individuals and ties qualified for the Individual Championships on May 23 at Industry Hills.
Also making it were Carson Curtis of Dos Pueblos at 74, Thayer White, the Channel League champion from San Marcos at 76 and James Morton of Santa Barbara at 76. The cutoff was 77.
Jonathan Sanders of New Community Jewish had the low round of the day with a 1-under 70. Thomas lim of Moopark finished second at 71.
Other area qualifiers included MacGregor Hoobery (74) and Landon Brown (76) of Righetti and Buena’s Jeremy Musgrove (73).
