Santa Barbara High has three teams ranked in this week’s CIF Polls. The Dons’ boys tennis team, baseball team and boys volleyball teams have been ranked for most of the season.
The Dons’ boys tennis team is currently the highest ranked at No. 5 in Division I. The Dons baseball team, at No. 1 in Division II for a time this season, now checks in at No. 7, while the boys volleyball team received votes but not enough for a top-ten ranking.
Cate has two teams in the polls in baseball and boys tennis. The boys tennis team is No. 7 in Division IV while the baseball team falls to No. 8.
Laguna Blanca’s boys volleyball team reached the polls for the first time. The Condor League champion Owls are the No. 10 team in Division V.
Dos Pueblos’ softball team shares the highest ranking of any local team as the No. 5 team in Division IV. The Chargers (14-8) are undefeated in Channel League play this season but face a critical two-game series with Buena this week.
Carpinteria’s softball team is No. 6 in Division VI, which is slightly off its season high of No. 3. The Warriors (16-3) have won 11 games in a row.
