The Santa Barbara Wavestorm beat Valencia to win the Carpinteria Beach Cup.
The Santa Barbara Wavestorm, an under-12 boys AYSO All-Star team, blanked Valencia 3-0 to win the championship of the Carpinteria Beach Cup XVI soccer tournament.
In pool play, the Wavestorm tied Thousand Oaks 2-2 and beat North Valley Woodland Hills and Balboa by 4-1 scores.
The tournament title was the second of the spring for the Wavestorm.
Team members are Nate Fay, Ryan Fay, Josh Feldhaus, Matthew Hempy, Trey Lavender, Ryan Lowe, Colter Nisbet, Bryce Quezada, Chris Roteman, Bryan Sheets, Jake Sofro and Zach Wright. The team is coached by Brad Hempy and Matt Fay.
