The San Marcos girls swim team had several strong individual performances on Tuesday but it wasn’t enough to beat Ventura, which came out on top 105-81 in the Channel Legue dual meet.
Diver Alex Brown finished first with a score of 188.80, and Emilee Mahoney placed second with 148.90
Brittny Hummel placed second in the 100 butterfly with a personal best time of 1:10.01
Freshman Frannie Kuesis swam in her first varsity meet and took third place in the 100 back (1:11.90).
“We had very, very good swims today,” San Marcos coach Chuckie Roth said. “All in all, the team was a little off, however we had some individuals perform very well.”
San Marcos moved to 3-3 overall, and 1-3 in league.
