Ventura erupted for four runs with two outs in the fifth inning and beat San Marcos 7-2 in a Channel League softball game on Friday at San Marcos.
Kristen Lopez hit a two-run double to spark the uprising.
San Marcos took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Stephanie Swann raced home on an error on a grounder hit to third base by Hannah Ball.
Lopez tied the score in the fourth, driving in Becca Bernard with a double.
Ball hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to break up a no-hitter by Bernard.
San Marcos falls to 6-7, 2-4 in the Channe League; Ventura is 5-7, 3-5.
