Amanda Moreno broke the school record in the 5,000m run this past weekend at the Mt. SAC relays.
Her time of 15.58.02 is three seconds faster than the previous record set by Danielle Domenichelli in 2010. She finished sixth in the Olympic Elite division of the Mt. SAC meet, which is considered one of the most prestigious meets during the outdoor season.
Since her last 5,000m performance at the Stanford Invitational, she has improved by nearly 20 seconds and has set a new Big West Conference record. With her continued improvements and strong performances, Moreno is well on her way to the USATF Championships in Eugene, Ore. at the end of June.
