With a lineup that featured many reserves, SBCC fell 3-0 at Moorpark in its WSC men’s volleyball finale on Friday night. The scores were 25-17, 26-24, 25-21.
The Vaqueros (9-8, 6-4) had already wrapped up second place in the WSC race going into Friday‘s match. SBCC will host Irvine Valley on Monday at 6 p.m. in a Southern Cal Regional playoff at the Sports Pavilion.
“All our guys needed rest and we had a few minor injuries,” explained coach Armen Zakarian. “We started four different guys, including our backup setter Jared Lincoln. They all played great and we had set point at 24-23 in the second set.”
Brock Skriloff had eight kills and Logan Wais contributed seven kills and six digs. Kyle Benskin had six kills and five stuff blocks. Libero Juan Reyes had a team-high eight digs.
