Cate’s Jackson Mauze dominated on the mound, pitching a no-hitter against Orcutt Academy in a 10-0 mercy-rule baseball win.
Mauze had seven strikeouts in the game.
“Jackson pitched a great ball game. He executed well and had some good defense behind him,” said coach Ben Soto.
Cate capitalized on several Orcutt errors, erupting for six runs in the fourth inning in the non-league win, which improved the Rams record to 8-0.
Cate plays league rival Thacher on Tuesday at home.
