Slumping Warriors lose Madden in loss to Nordhoff

Nordhoff baseball rallied in the final inning to defeat Carpinteria 5-3 on Friday in a game where the Warriors’ Trevor Madden left the game with an injury.

With the score tied 2-2 in seventh, Nordhoff was able to come away with three runs off three hits and two costly errors from the Warriors.

Marcus Hutchinson was 2-for-2 with one RBI, while Zach Boberg pitched in by going 2-3 with one RBI and Brandon Blum went 3-3.

Carpinteria fell to 6-11 overall and 1-7 in the Tri-Valley. It heads to Oaks Christian on Wednesday.
