San Marcos track competed in the Mt. SAC invitational on Saturday and posted several big performances and new personal bests.
The scorching heat in Walnut didnt seem to slow down San Marcos.
“It was really hot, making it hard to sit around all day. For our guys to come out at night after waiting in the heat all day, is really great,” said coach Marilyn Hangtin.
Tristan Lake had his best time in the 300 hurdles with a 39.49, while the boys 4×400 team won with a personal best time of 3:24.
Shane Rowan competed in the triple jump, and finished with a mark of 45-10.
Royals did not run as many relays as usual on Saturday. They are preparing for upcoming important meets, like Wednesday’s against Dos Pueblos at home.
