Westmont baseball (18-29, 10-24 Golden State Athletic Conference) struggled in its final home game as the Warriors lost to San Diego Christian (7-38, 5-29) by a score of 12-2 on Friday at Russ Carr Field.
Ryan Sullivan took the loss for the Warriors after giving up four runs on six hits in three and one-third innings of play. Adair Robles picked up the win for the Hawks. He allowed one run on three hits in six innings of play.
Westmont struggled to find any offense, recording just four hits on the afternoon. Tim Leary belted his ninth home run of the year for the Warriors with a 400-foot shot to left field.
Before the game, Westmont honored seven seniors for their contributions to Warrior Baseball. Four-year players Jordan Bottenfield, Kyle Noe, Colten Christianson, Chris Plance and Pete McCarthy were introduced to the crowd, as were Jacob Regalado and Jacob Stott who transferred to Westmont for their final two years.
The Warriors will wrap up the regular season on Saturday when they play a doubleheader at Azusa
Pacific. First pitch is at noon.
