Hannah Harris had a no-hitter broken up in the seventh inning and settled for a one-hit, 4-0 Channel League softball win over visiting Ventura on Thursday.
Harris struck out seven and didn’t walk anyone. The lone hit was a hard infield single by Becca Bernard.
Offensively, DP was led by Jordan Roberts, who went 2-for-3 with a triple, double and a RBI.
“A great combination of timely hitting and consistent pitching proved too much for Ventura,” said DP coach Donn Roberts.
Haley Peterson had a double, Ashlynd Williams went 2-for-3 and drove in a run and Marisa Radeke drove in two runs with a single.
The Chargers improve to 12-5 and 6-0 in Channel League. They’re back in action on Saturday against Oxnard and Camarillo at the Thousand Oaks Tournament.
