Kyle Rieb and Dodge Ward, a pair of freshmen from San Marcos High, shot 75 and 76, respectively, for SBCC on Monday in WSC golf tournament No. 7 at Rio Bravo CC in Bakersfield.
Matt Boberg added an 80 for the Vaqueros, who finished last in the seven-team field. Reese Hutchins carded an interesting 82 — shooting 50 on the front nine and 4-under-par 32 on the back.
Canyons (42-0) won its seventh straight WSC meet with 371 strokes, beating Glendale by seven. Aaron West of Canyons was the medalist at 2-under 70.
SBCC will compete in WSC No. 8 on Monday at Oakmont CC in Glendale.
