Playing its first game at home in more than a month, Dos Pueblos had an off-day on defense and dropped a 12-11 non-league baseball game against St. Bonaventure, ending the Chargers’ 12-game winning streak
The Chargers (12-3) committed five errors in the fourth inning that led to eight runs by the Seraphs.
Down 12-6, fifth-ranked DP battled back and had a chance to tie the score in the seventh inning. Dylan Rohde singled in pinch runner Ryan Beveridge and Gabe Speier to make it 12-11. But the next three hitters made outs to end the game.
Ben York had a big game for DP (12-3), hitting two home runs, a solo shot in the first inning and a two-run blast in the second.
Elliot Lee hit two homers and went 3-for-4 for St. Bonaventure (8-9).
Joe Huthsing started the game for the Chargers and was pulled in the third inning because of back pain.
