Emily Rose Williams of Dos Pueblos won the 50 freestyle in a CIF automatic qualifying time, and the Chargers claimed the varsity and JV girls team titles at the 52nd Klaus Barth Invitational in Long Beach.
Laurel Kistler broke the meet record in the JV 200 freestyle in her best time this season, 2:01.61
Kiley Neushul took second in the 200 free in her best time of the season (1:53.30). She also finished runner-up in the 100 backstroke (58.01). Madison Faulkner took fourth in the same race (1:01.95).
Maelyn Adornetto placed third in the 200 IM in her best time of the season at 2:15.03. Williams took third in the 100 free (54.96).
Despite being sick earlier in the meet, Janelle Nguyen posted a best time in the 100 butterfly (57.29) to take second. Teammate Emily Swindle swam a PR (58.49) to take third.
Nguyen later posted a best time this season by five seconds in the 500 free (4:59.78) to get second. Freshman Shannon Cleary also dropped five seconds in the same race to take fourth (5:24.78).
In relays, the Chargers won the 200 medley (1:51.58) with Kiley Neushul, Maelyn Adornetto, Emily Swindle and Emily Rose Williams.
The 200 free relay took second (1:40.68) with Madison Faulkner, Adornetto, Nguyen and Williams.
The JV 400 freestyle relay (Camyla Chahoud, Laurel Kistler, Sarah Jamieson and Jamie Neushul) set a meet record of 3:49.84.
The varsity girls 400 free relay took second and earned an automatic CIF qualification with a time of 3:36.70. The team consisted of Faulkner, Swindle, Neushul and Nguyen.
