Both Dos Pueblos girls and boys swim teams moved to 3-0 in league by dominating Ventura on Thursday.
The Charger girls swept the 500 freetsyle and 100 butterfly, and took first and second in the 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke in a 129-56 romp.
The DP boys won 117-69.
In the girls 100 butterfly, freshman Emily Swindle recorded a CIF consideration time of 1:00.20 and earned first place. Second place Madison Faulkner finished with 1:01.93, while third place Maelyn Adornetto had a time of 1:03.58
Janelle Nguyen earned first place for the 500 freestyle, finishing with a CIF consideration time of 5:04.36, while Jamie Neushul finished 5:31.89 and Shannon Cleary earned third in 5:32.35.
Neushul won the 100 backstroke with an automatic CIF qualification time of 59.52. Faulkner had another second place finish in 1:05.02
Cayley Cruickshank won the 100 breaststroke with a CIF consideration time of 1:11.03. Adornetto finished in second with a time of 1:11.41
The Chargers 4×100 freestyle relay team dropped four seconds to 3:48.13, while the 200 medley relay team trimmed 3 seconds off its previous best to 1:57.71. The 200 freestyle relay team also skimmed off extra time, dropping 2 seconds to a time of 1:44.39
Dos Pueblos divers Sarah Rushton, Mattea Stalie and Morgen Dishmon took 1st, 2nd, and 4th respectively.
The boys won first place in all three of the relays, and John Pighetti won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke for the Chargers. Theo Coyne captured the 50 and 100 freestyles, while Kevin Cappon and Derek Simons also finished as event winners.
“The kids really came in and swam well. All the races were really tight, even though we didnt have as many first-place finishes. Other guys stepped up to keep us ahead,” said coach Chris Parrish.
DP competes at the Mt. SAC Meet of Champions on Friday.
