Strength in doubles carried Dos Pueblos to an 11-7 Channel League tennis win at Ventura on Tuesday.
Jake Roberts/Caleb Franzen and Ziyad Marcus/Greg Steigerwald swept their sets to give the Chargers a big lift. No. 1 team Peter Shao/Mason Casady went 2-1 on the day.
In singles, Sean Handley lost two tough sets against Ventura’s top players Jacob Rucker and Michael Lowe. Jared Madison and Richard Cheng managed to pull out one set apiece to help DP improve to 8-6 and 3-2 in league play.
