Dos Pueblos boys golf fell to Ventura by eight strokes in a Channel League match on Tuesday, 366-374, at the Buenaventura Golf Club.
Ventura’s Greg Robarge was the medalist for the day, finishing with a 1-under par 69.
Carson Curtis led the way for Dos Pueblos, finishing with a 71. All six scores were under 80 for the Chargers, but they were unable to come out on top in a tough road match-up.
“The Channel League is so tough. To win any match on the road, you have to play close to excellent,” said coach Rob Schiff.
Dos Pueblos dropped to 5-5 overall, and 3-2 in the Channel League. Ventura jumped to 5-1 in league.
The Chargers face Santa Barbara on Thursday at Birnam Wood at 1 p.m.
