Santa Barbara tennis finished the Channel League regular season undefeated after beating Ventura 15-3 on Tuesday.
Dons doubles went 8-1 for the day, and the singles ended up 7-2 to complete an 8-0 league season. Coach Greg Tebbe was able to play 18 players in the match.
The doubles teams of Logan Liddell / Jack Damen and seniors Cooper Matthieson / Jeremy Kirchhoff each went 2-0 on the day. Graham Maassen and Chris Grant each won key singles matches in the first round against the top two players from Ventura, which set the tone for the rest of the match, said Tebbe
Maassen, Marc Conliffe, Chris Grant and Sammer Aziz each finished 1-0, while Morgan Hale finished 2-1.
Jacob Rucker led the way for Ventura by finishing 2-1 in singles.
No. 6 Santa Barbara faces a key match-up for its final regular season match, going up against fourth-ranked Harvard-Westlake on Wednesday at home.
