Carpinteria golf came out on top in a close match against Grace Brethren on Thursday, winning by one stroke 485-486 in a non-league game held at Lost Canyons Golf Course.
The Warriors remain two points ahead of Villanova for first place in the Frontier League. There is only two matches remaining.
“I’m really pleased at how hard the kids have worked this year,” praised coach Steve Benson.
Ian Craddock led the way for the Warriors, finishing with a 93 in windy conditions at a tough Lost Canyons course.
“It was really a tought course, and they did great.,” said Benson. “There was lots of blind shots and they handled it well.”
Grace Brethren’s Dallas Marvin was the medalist for the day, finishing with an 85 for the day.
