Bishop Diego loses second game to Malibu

Bishop Deigo tennis fell short on Tuesday for their second match in a row against Malibu, losing 12-6.

Bishop Diego singles struggled for the day, as both Matt Hammond and Aaron Rubio were swept 0-3. 

Doubles Nick Lensander and Sergio Lopez led the way for the Cardinals, sweeping their sets 3-0.

“Nick and Sergio continue to get better with their confidence and chemistry improving.” praised coach Ray Vazquez. 

Vince Worthman also looked impressive, winning a set 7-6 against Malibu’s No. 2 player.

Bishop Diego’s next match-up is Thursday at home against Villanova. The Cardinals fall to 1-6 overall, 0-4 in the Tri-Valley League.
