Robert Connolly had seven of his team’s 17 aces as the Bishop Diego boys volleyball team picked up a 25-12, 25-17, 25-18 sweep at Fillmore on Tuesday.
Johnny Brand put down his first 11 swings for kills, and finished with 12 kills on 14 attempts.
“Johnny’s been having to play in the middle for us so far this year, but he got some swings on the outside today and buried the ball,” said coach Jason Donnelly.
James Fazio dished out 27 assists with four aces in the second frame alone. The Cardinals (11-6, 4-2 TVL) play at Oaks Christian on Thursday.
